About the Client:
A large, complex organisation is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Manager to provide senior-level IR leadership and expertise across the business. This role is critical in ensuring compliant, practical and commercially sound workplace practices, while partnering closely with leaders, employees and unions to manage risk, resolve disputes and strengthen organisational IR capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead high-volume enterprise bargaining activities, including strategy, tactical planning, negotiations, disputes, applications and related processes
Build and maintain strategic relationships with employee groups, union representatives, government bodies and key stakeholders
Manage complex industrial relations disputes, including matters before the Fair Work Commission
Oversee end-to-end payroll compliance matters and support internal payroll and IR compliance functions
Provide proactive, practical advice on IR risks, issues and disputes to support a productive and harmonious working environment
Support the development of IR capability across the team and broader leadership group
Continuously improve IR frameworks, systems and processes to support consistency and compliance
About You:
Senior-level consultancy and/or advisory experience in industrial relations
Proven experience developing and implementing IR strategies, frameworks, systems and tactical plans
Strong commercial and strategic mindset with broad knowledge of employment and industrial relations matters
Demonstrated experience with enterprise bargaining, awards and agreements, acquisitions and change management
Confident managing IR disputes and end-to-end compliance matters
Excellent attention to detail and highly developed stakeholder management skills
You will be legally qualified and have at least 6 years PQE
Qualifications & Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Law, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
Proven capability managing complex IR matters in large, complex organisations
Minimum 6+ years (or equivalent) relevant experience
