Solution Architect – Job Description Overview We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design, document, and guide technical solutions that enable strong business outcomes across a modern enterprise technology ecosystem.

This role blends deep technical architecture capability with strategic influence. The Solution Architect ensures that all system designs, integrations, and domain architectures are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organisational technology strategy and architectural standards.

Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with cross‑functional teams across Platform, Planning, Delivery, Analytics, and AI to define end‑to‑end architectures that leverage modern principles such as composability, modularity, and resilience. You will also mentor engineering teams, support Team Leads, and help shape the architecture supporting a major digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities Architecture, Design, and Delivery

Define and maintain end‑to‑end architectures for platform and application domains using modern approaches such as MACH, Composable Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and Domain‑Driven Design.

Design cloud native, event‑driven systems using appropriate design patterns and best practices.

Apply Event‑Driven Architecture and Data Mesh‑influenced design to ensure interoperability, scalability, and resilience.

Translate business requirements and BA‑prepared scopes into structured technical solutions, clearly outlining assumptions, dependencies, and expected outcomes.

Produce architectural artefacts, including architecture design documents and technical decision records, for inclusion in the enterprise architecture library.

Review and align all technical designs with enterprise, data, and strategic architecture frameworks.

Governance and Collaboration

Participate in roadmap planning, design reviews, and solution governance processes to ensure architectural decisions are cost‑effective, secure, and sustainable.

Work closely with delivery and engineering teams to ensure architectural intent is maintained through implementation.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and architectural leadership to engineering teams and Team Leads.

Collaborate with external vendors and partners to evaluate and guide third‑party solutions.
