Overview-
Our Federal govt client is seeking multiple Strategic & Enterprise Architects to provide enterprise-wide architectural leadership within a Commonwealth Government context.
Candidate will be responsible for directing enterprise architecture strategy, capability planning, and long-term transformation roadmaps to support strategic policy and business outcomes.
Candidates must demonstrate substantial experience working within Commonwealth Government agencies, including a strong understanding of:
Whole-of-Government governance frameworks
Commonwealth digital and architecture standards
Public sector procurement and assurance processes
Investment planning and approval environments
Risk, compliance, and audit obligations within the APS
Experience within the Commonwealth environment, water, energy, or climate change portfolios, or in similarly complex regulatory environments, is highly regarded.
Key duties and responsibilities
The specified personnel are required to but not limited in the duties of:
Development of architectural governance frameworks to ensure consistent and accountable decision-making
Implement assurance mechanisms to validate that architectural decisions remain compliant with strategic direction, cyber security guidelines and applicable standards (including Whole of Government and DTA guidelines)
Strategic insights and recommendations that support client's digital transformation
Advise on architectural decisions that reduce complexity, enhance sustainability, and Translate business strategy into actionable design outcomes
Strategic guidance on delivering Innovation within ICT using emerging technology, contemporary practices that deliver value while reducing departmental risks.
Support governance bodies including the client Architecture Design Authority
1.Demonstrated strong experience in providing strategic advice in relation to technology systems and technical investments, to identify areas to develop and propose solutions to meet enterprise and business needs. (Including alignment with industry standards such as such as TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT, Essential 8 or other relevant standards and frameworks).
2.Demonstrated delivery of architectural governance frameworks, assurance mechanisms, and enterprise-level artefacts such as technology roadmaps and enterprise policies.
3.Demonstrated stakeholder and business engagement capability and ability to develop strong working relationships. Strong communication capabilities including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly for business users both in verbally and in writing. Ability to guide stakeholders and assist in the identification of business requirements and viewpoints to provide the footprint of what applications and capabilities
4.Proven ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment and across agencies to achieve results. Experience in using Agile principles in a highly dynamic operating environment.
1.Experience working within federal government and experience with change and integration, including Machinery-of-Government movements
2.Any relevant industry certifications and qualifications.
