About the role ACMI is seeking a Deputy CEO & Executive Director, Commercial & Operations. Reporting to the Director/CEO, and joining ACMI’s Senior Leadership Team, the role also acts as Board Secretary and is responsible for driving all Board business and governance. This role is offered on a full-time fixed term basis for 3 years.

The role leads ACMI’s commercial and business activities, managing landlord/tenant relations; strategic planning, resources, financial performance management activities; facilities and technical production and delivery; as well as our corporate governance and policy framework. Focusing on developing and implementing a long-term strategic approach to ACMI’s operations the role ensures optimal operational, financial, environmental and community outcomes which place ACMI central to the creative industries ecology at the city, state and national level.

What you’ll bring to the role

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in the creative industries extensive public or private sector experience and a strong track record of driving cultural and commercial outcomes in a creative or innovative context.

Experience building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders across Government, including Creative Victoria, the Department of Jobs Skills Industry and Regions, the Department of Premier & Cabinet, the Department of Treasury and Finance and Industrial Relations Victoria.

Effective leadership, negotiation, and change management experience, with high level financial management skills. Outstanding business analysis skills and a strong commitment to transparency and accountability.

Your experience enabling innovation and experimentation within the compliance and risk context of a Government agency.

Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the capacity to interact effectively with a wide range of corporate executives, government officials, arts/creative professionals, senior management, staff and contractors.

What we offer

Full-time fixed term role for 3 years. Public Entity Senior Executive role (SES-1) role with a total remuneration package in the range of $232,790 – $298,488 depending on experience. Hybrid working available.
