We’re looking for a strategic leader to drive renewal revenue and scale our renewals function during a time of rapid growth. As Head of Renewals you’ll lead a high‑performing team, optimize operations and collaborate across Customer Success, Sales and leadership to deliver results in a dynamic acquisition‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Function Development
Elevate the renewals function through process improvement, technology enablement and team capability development
Set renewal targets and develop strategies to maximize gross revenue retention (GRR) and net revenue retention (NRR)
Implement best practices in renewal management and reporting cadence to support board‑level visibility
Partner with finance and sales leadership to forecast and track renewal pipeline and revenue
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor and develop a team of 4 renewals specialists with clear performance metrics and career progression pathways
Build a high‑engagement results‑driven team culture while maintaining accountability for renewal targets
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching and identify training and development needs
Foster collaborative relationships across the business
Complex Stakeholder Management
Liaise with CS & Sales leadership on customer disputes and escalations, representing the renewals function with authority
Navigate integration challenges across newly acquired business entities at varying stages of integration
Work with acquired company leadership to align renewals processes, systems and KPIs
Manage cross‑functional complexity with sensitivity to organisational politics and change management
Renewal Execution & Revenue
Own renewals pipeline management ensuring accurate forecasting and timely customer engagement
Lead high‑value renewal negotiations and escalations, particularly with enterprise accounts
Work closely with Customer Success Managers to develop renewal strategies tailored to customer health and risk profiles
Analyse renewal metrics, trends and root causes of churn to inform retention strategies
Integration & Operational Excellence
Lead the integration of renewals processes following M&A activity, standardising approaches where beneficial while respecting acquired company cultures
Manage the transition and consolidation of renewal systems data and customer information
Maintain business continuity during organisational change and restructuring
Skills and Experience
Experience in M&A‑Active Businesses
8 years in renewals account management or customer success with demonstrated experience in organisations undergoing frequent M&A activity
Proven track record of managing renewals complexity across multiple business entities at different stages of integration
Experience navigating organisational change and maintaining renewal performance during periods of transformation
Leadership Capability
5 years in a leadership or senior management role with responsibility for team performance and revenue outcomes
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop high‑performing teams
Experience managing cross‑functional stakeholder groups including Sales, Finance and senior leadership
