Remuneration: From $129,464 to $142,665 per annum, Grade 9-10, (excluding superannuation and leave loading)
About the role:
Due to expansion, the Commission is looking for a dynamic Senior Executive Officer to join the Legal and Confiscations Division in an ongoing full time capacity.
The NSW Crime Commissionโs purpose is to disrupt, reduce and prevent the incidence of organised and other serious crime in New South Wales. The Commission is structured into several divisions, support teams and specialist units.
The Senior Executive Officer provides high-level executive, secretariat, and strategic project support to the Assistant Commissioner. The role is responsible for delivering expert advice, managing complex communications, and implementing key initiatives to support the organisationโs strategic and operational objectives. It serves as a trusted advisor and liaison across the leadership team, ensuring smooth coordination, timely decision-making, and the successful delivery of priorities. You will engage with diverse stakeholder groups and undertake strategic projects to deliver improved performance.
The role manages the flow of critical information to the Assistant Commissioner by coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on strategic, operational, and project plans to inform leadership team decision-making and drive progress toward organisational goals. The Senior Executive Officer is also responsible for preparing and coordinating the completion of complex, high-level submissions, briefs and reports on a diverse range of matters. The role supports the Assistant Commissioner to facilitate regular meetings, effective communication, and the implementation of decisions.
The Senior Executive Officer will:
Provide secretariat services to the leadership team as required, including preparing and distributing papers, and minute taking.
Undertake highly sensitive and confidential work on behalf of the Assistant Commissioner, ensuring efficient executive-level support that aligns with business priorities.
Research, analyse, and prepare strategic advice, reports, and briefing materials on policy, planning, and operational issues to support informed decision-making.
Manage emerging issues proactively, providing timely advice and resolution strategies to minimise risk and ensure organisational responsiveness.

Security vetting:
You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to work at the NSW Crime Commission.
The recommended candidates must be willing to participate in and secure appropriate security clearances by providing comprehensive details about their personal and financial interests and other relevant information about themselves, their families and their associates.
The Crime Commission Regulation 2022 under the Crime Commission Act 2012 stipulates that it is a condition of employment at the Commission that a member of staff obtain and maintain:
a security clearance issued by the Commissioner, and
a security clearance issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency that the Commissioner determines is necessary for the position.
