About the role As a Legal Counsel, you will protect and maximise the commercial interests of SHAPE on construction and general commercial legal issues. This role will support projects by delivering legal advice across all stages of construction. As part of your responsibilities, you will:

Review, negotiate and draft contracts.

Liaise with external lawyers and be a trusted advisor to the business.

Provide legal advice and assistance to project teams, including on disputes.

Support and educate project teams on contracts and commercial risk.

About you

A Law degree coupled with 4-6 years’ experience working either in-house or in private practice.

Experience and up to date knowledge of construction law (Either front or back end)

Precise oral and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail with a corresponding ability to simplify complex ideas.

Ability to work autonomously

Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.

High tolerance of ambiguity and problem-solving skills.
