Chief Financial Officer

An ASX-listed organisation in the Australian energy and services sector is seeking a contemporary Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance function through a period of transformation, operational uplift and strategic expansion. This role is suited to an executive who thrives in complex, highly regulated environments and is motivated by building structure, discipline and capability.

The Opportunity Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the Board, you will provide financial leadership across strategy, performance, governance, capital management and risk. You will uplift financial systems, reporting and controls while ensuring the organisation is well positioned for long-term resilience, market credibility and sustainable growth. This role will suit a commercially minded CFO who brings a balance of listed‑company discipline and hands‑on operational capability. You will provide clear, forward‑leaning financial insight and support decision‑making across a diversified, customer‑centric business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the financial strategy, planning and analysis function, ensuring high‑quality insights and market‑ready reporting

Oversee statutory reporting, ASX compliance, governance obligations and risk management across a regulated operating environment

Drive budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and working capital optimisation

Strengthen financial controls, policies, systems and processes in line with listed‑company best practice

Partner with the CEO and Executive Team on commercial strategy, pricing, growth initiatives and business performance

Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

Support capital allocation, funding strategies and engagement with investors, analysts and external stakeholders

Champion data‑driven decision‑making and uplift financial literacy across the business

About You

Experienced CFO or senior finance executive with ASX or listed‑company exposure

Strong capability in financial governance, compliance and operational discipline

Proven experience navigating regulated markets or sectors with complex compliance requirements

Commercial, pragmatic and confident partnering with CEOs, Boards, investors and regulators

Demonstrated experience leading transformation, improving systems and implementing scalable frameworks

A steady, hands‑on and solutions‑focused leader who can bring clarity, direction and confidence
