Technical Lead

Contract to 30/06/2026 + possible extension | Brisbane CBD| Hybrid working

We are partnering with a leading Queensland state agency to recruit an experienced Technical Lead to support the final phase of a major finance system transformation.

The organisation has already completed Phase 1, transitioning from on-premise infrastructure to the vendor’s legacy cloud platform. This next phase represents the final uplift — migrating from the vendor’s older cloud environment to the modern cloud version of the system (TechnologyOne).

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands‑on technical leadership across the project lifecycle

Support sprint planning, task breakdown and realistic development estimation

Drive technical delivery in alignment with agreed milestones and governance frameworks

Partner closely with the Project Manager to maintain schedule integrity

Support and mentor the existing senior developer within a project‑focused delivery model

Oversee integration services and ensure quality technical outcomes

Manage risks, technical dependencies and implementation challenges proactively

What We’re Looking For You will bring strong technical capability combined with proven experience delivering within structured project environments.

Essential experience includes:

Web services and API development

Integration services, systems integration or application development

Working within PRINCE2 and/or Agile delivery environments

Experience with TechnologyOne (beneficial but not mandatory)
