Up to $100.63 per hour

High-impact contract role

Our client is a large Government organisation who are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join their team.

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality financial forecasting, budgeting, modelling, operational analysis, and insights to support the organisation. This includes supporting the financial planning cycle, forward budgets, future budget bids, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain detailed financial forecasts, including revenue, cost, margin, and cashflow projections across PTG services.

Support internal/external budgets, ACT Government budget processes and future budget bids.

Conduct financial and operational variance analysis to identify drivers of performance and inefficiency.

Analyse operational processes (workflow, unit cost, productivity, demand patterns) to identify efficiency opportunities.

Selection Criteria:

Demonstrated FP&A experience including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and modelling.

Experience analysing operational processes, unit costs, productivity and service performance to identify efficiency improvements.

Advanced modelling skills using Excel and tools such as Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan or similar. (desirable)

Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics, analytics or similar. CA/CPA/CFA progress desirable.
