About the Team
The ANZ Business Development and Partnerships team is responsible for identifying and delivering partnerships and selective investments that support DoorDash’s regional strategy.
The team works closely with Strategy, Product, Operations, Finance, Legal and regional leadership to progress opportunities from early exploration through to launch and scale. This role provides clear direction, prioritisation and coaching to the team while remaining hands on with the most strategic initiatives.
About the Role
This is a Manager level role, as responsible for building, managing, and growing strategic, high-value partnerships. These roles involve driving revenue through advertising, optimising merchant performance, and implementing growth strategies. They require 8+ years of experience in account management, strong data analysis skills, and cross-functional collaboration.

Set and own the ANZ Business Development and Partnerships strategy, aligned to DoorDash’s global growth priorities
Decide where to focus time, capital and team capacity across the ANZ partnerships portfolio
Build and maintain a high quality pipeline of partnership and investment opportunities with clear growth impact
Translate regional market insights into scalable, repeatable growth plays across Marketplace and adjacent verticals
Lead the end to end execution of strategic partnerships, from sourcing and structuring through negotiation, launch and performance management
Deliver partnerships that drive measurable outcomes across revenue growth, supply expansion, demand growth, unit economics or strategic optionality
Evaluate and execute small scale investments or acquisitions where there is a clear strategic or financial rationale
Act as a senior advisor to ANZ leadership on partnership strategy and growth opportunities
Build and maintain senior external relationships with strategic partners, founders and investors
Develop rigorous business cases and investment theses in partnership with Strategy, Finance and Marketplace
Lead negotiation and execution of complex commercial, partnership and investment agreements in collaboration with Legal
Ensure partnerships are launched effectively and managed against defined success metrics
Identify and communicate emerging market, competitive and technology trends relevant to DoorDash’s growth agenda
Develop, lead and retain a high performing team, setting a high bar for prioritisation, execution quality and pace

Proven Director level experience in business development, partnerships, corporate development or strategy within a technology or high growth environment
A strong record of delivering material growth through partnerships, investments or platform expansion
Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously with limited guidance in ambiguous environments
Experience leading and developing small, high impact teams
Strong commercial judgement and fluency in building and evaluating business cases and investment opportunities
Credibility with senior leaders and comfort influencing decisions at an executive level
Experience negotiating and executing complex commercial or investment agreements
A pragmatic, outcome driven approach with a bias toward action and measurable impact
Experience partnering with Legal to negotiate and execute complex commercial or investment agreements
