Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving capital raising activities, managing investor relationships, and executing the firm’s fund distribution strategy.
This role focuses on originating and converting qualified wholesale investors, maintaining long‑term client relationships, and contributing to sustainable funds under management (FUM) growth. The Business Development Manager works closely with senior management, compliance, and operations to ensure all fundraising activities are conducted in a compliant, professional, and commercially effective manner.
This role requires an individual with an existing professional network or established relationships within the wholesale investor community,
who can leverage these connections to support capital raising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Execute the firm’s fund distribution strategy and achieve assigned capital‑raising targets.
Independently originate, manage, and convert qualified wholesale investors into funded clients,
leveraging existing professional relationships and investor networks.
Present fund products clearly and professionally, explaining investment structures, risk profiles, and return characteristics.
Client Relationship Management
Build, maintain, and deepen long‑term relationships with wholesale investors.
Act as a primary point of contact for allocated clients throughout the investment lifecycle.
Support investor retention, rollovers, and repeat investment activity.
Pipeline & Opportunity Management
Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline from initial contact through funding and post‑investment follow‑up.
Proactively source investor opportunities through established networks and referral channels.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, commitments, and funding status.
Provide regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline progress, and forecasted capital inflows.
Collaboration & Internal Coordination
Work closely with senior management, compliance, and operations teams to ensure smooth investor onboarding and execution.
Support marketing initiatives, investor meetings, events, and roadshows as required.
About You
Experience in funds distribution, capital raising, wealth management, private credit, or related financial services.
An established professional network and existing relationships within the wholesale investor space.
Fluency in Mandarin and English, with the ability to engage confidently with Mandarin‑speaking investors.
Strong understanding of wholesale investor requirements and regulatory considerations.
Credible, relationship‑driven communicator with a long‑term mindset.
Self‑motivated, commercially minded, and comfortable working autonomously.
Remuneration & What We Offer
Base salary:
AUD $70,000 – $90,000 + performance‑based commission
