Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations of Royston Homes through departmental managers and senior leaders.
Drive sustainable growth and operational efficiencies in a high-volume residential construction environment.
Champion quality assurance and compliance across construction and handover processes.
Develop and execute business plans to drive sustainable growth across Royston’s turnkey and house & land pipeline.
Provide leadership across the full customer and build lifecycle—from contract readiness and pre-construction through construction, handover, and warranty—ensuring programme milestones and service standards are consistently achieved.
Drive build program discipline, capacity planning and operational rhythm to improve cycle time, productivity and predictability of starts/completions.
Strengthen quoting/pricing controls, approvals, contract compliance, variation governance and claims processes to reduce margin leakage, rework and disputes.
Optimise workforce planning, subcontractor capacity, supplier performance and material availability to minimise delays, manage cost pressures and improve quality outcomes.
Own budgeting, forecasting, cost control and management reporting; monitor operating performance and risks and implement corrective actions to protect profitability.
Lead quality assurance across construction and handover, reduce defects and rework and improve customer experience through continuous improvement and effective escalation management.
Champion WHS leadership and compliance across sites and office operations; maintain governance, policies and reporting.
Lead, coach and develop department heads and management teams; set clear KPIs, build accountability and foster a high‑performance culture aligned to company values.
Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, investors/clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Proven corporate leadership experience, ideally 10‑15 years in a senior management role.
Strong experience in commercial management including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, performance reporting and margin protection.
Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑department operations and deliver outcomes through managers in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience supporting pipeline growth and partner relationships, including negotiating commercial terms with developers, suppliers and trade networks.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage escalations and make decisions under pressure.
Sound knowledge of modern management practices, governance and compliance frameworks; strong commitment to WHS and risk management.
Willingness to travel across project locations as required.
