We’re Australian-owned with offices in Brisbane and Melbourne, and a team of around 50 permanent staff working with clients across government and industry. We deliver practical procurement, contract management, probity, and training services. We’re not aligned to any one system, industry, or category. Our focus is on helping clients get better results from their procurement through transparent, fit-for-purpose advice and delivery.

Our Melbourne office was established 18 months ago and is steadily growing, with >12% of our team now based in Victoria. From Melbourne, we support Victorian public and private sector clients and contribute to national projects remotely, offering variety, scale, and meaningful work.
The opportunity
This is your chance to step into a role where your expertise truly makes an impact. As a Senior Procurement Consultant in our growing Melbourne team, you’ll lead strategic procurement and advisory engagements for our Victorian-based government and private sector clients, while also contributing to national projects supported by our Melbourne office. You’ll take ownership of complex sourcing activities from planning through to contract award, shaping deliverables that drive real outcomes. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing practical, fit-for-purpose solutions, while also mentoring and guiding Analysts and Consultants within the team.

The role
Lead end‑to‑end strategic procurement (planning, market approach, evaluation, negotiation, contract award) across multiple clients and categories
Deliver procurement advisory and consulting projects, including procurement transformation, procurement governance reviews, procurement framework development projects, category strategies, ESG and other procurement policy development and implementation, and technology implementation projects.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including requirements definition, market sounding, briefings, and evaluation panels
Produce clear, defensible documentation including, procurement plans, evaluation reports, business cases, and recommendations
Provide coaching and mentoring to Analysts and Consultants; help uplift client capability
Contribute to practice development, including contemporary procurement methods, templates, and knowledge sharing across the Procurement Co team
What we're looking for?
5+ years in procurement within government and/or large corporate procurement teams, with a track record in complex and strategic sourcing.
Proven ability to run full procurement lifecycles with robust governance and probity (planning, market approach, evaluation, negotiation, contract award).
Confident and professional in engaging, influencing, and building trust with stakeholders at all levels.
Able to translate needs into clear, defensible deliverables (e.g., procurement plans, evaluation reports, business cases) and just get things done.
Comfortable stepping into new environments, working across diverse categories and industries, and balancing time across client sites, home, and the office.
Open to learning and sharing knowledge, with an interest in mentoring and supporting Analysts and Consultants.
Motivated to strengthen your expertise and position yourself as a leader in delivering high‑performing procurement services.

What a typical week can include
Running strategic procurement activities from planning through to contract award
Meeting stakeholders to gather requirements or provide updates
Reviewing tender submissions and facilitating evaluation panels
Drafting probity plans, evaluation reports, and category strategies
Supporting procurement consulting projects
Collaborating with colleagues, sharing knowledge, and refining approaches
Balancing time between client sites, home, and our Melbourne office
Location
Melbourne VIC (Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week office-based). Work across client sites, our CBD office, and from home as appropriate.
