This is a hands‑on role. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing direction, technical support and development to our Rydalmere Workshop team.

Key Duties

Lead and coordinate a small Workshop team

Ensure high standards of workmanship throughout the Workshop are maintained, with positive mentoring and leading by example.

Provide regular updates to the Workshop Supervisor to ensure timelines are met and communication is maintained.

Workshop installations and pre‑delivery inspection duties for all new or used cranes and hook loaders

Fabrication and installation of subframes from design to development and manufacture

Service duties of new and used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders

Completion of all job documentation

Always working in a safe manner and adhering to site policies and procedures to enhance the safety culture and performance of the site.

Required Qualifications

Prior experience in a Leading Hand role working in a similar industry

Hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent

Experience working on heavy vehicles

Experience with cranes and/or hook loaders an advantage

Ability to interpret drawings and procedures

Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to work safely

Good time management and work prioritisation skills

Current Driver’s licence (H or HR preferable)

Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and a National Police Check
