About The Role When someone reaches out in a moment of financial stress, you could be the steady, compassionate voice that helps them feel supported again. As an Emergency Relief Assessor, you’ll speak with community members over the phone, listen to their story, understand their needs, and connect them with practical support that can make a real difference in their day-to-day lives.

This full-time, permanent role is based at our Morley site, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45 am–5:15 pm. Flexible hybrid working arrangements are available, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Pay is in accordance with the SCHADS Level 3 Award.

How You Will Make An Impact

Create a safe, respectful space for people to share what they’re going through

Hold meaningful phone conversations that help you understand each person’s situation

Provide emergency relief and practical support tailored to individual needs

Connect people with the right services through thoughtful referrals and advocacy

Keep clear, accurate records so every person receives consistent, high-quality support

Notice emerging needs or gaps and share insights that help strengthen the service

Work closely with your team and local mission partners to ensure people feel supported from the moment they reach out

What You Will Bring

A Certificate IV in Community Services (minimum requirement)

Diploma or above in Community Services will be highly regarded

Relevant experience in the community services sector

Experience supporting people experiencing hardship, vulnerability, or trauma

Confidence engaging with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused in challenging or fast-paced situations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A collaborative approach and commitment to TSA’s values and person-centred practice
