Purpose and Objectives
The Digital Supply Chain Practice of SAP Australia & New Zealand is expanding by establishing a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Centre of Excellence (CoE). The CoE’s purpose is to guide major customers through their journey to SAP Business Suite – with proven strategy, expert delivery, and scalable, lasting impact. The successful candidate will be working on both this high-profile, strategic and transformational initiative and the broader Customer Success and Delivery area within the DSC Practice. We are looking for a senior consultant with practical SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) skills, in-depth end‑to‑end process knowledge across SAP IBP and S/4HANA.
Expectations and Tasks
As an SCM – IBP senior consultant, you possess a deep understanding of SAP IBP product suite and its integration to S/4HANA and other components. A high-level understanding of related interfaces and technology platforms will be key to your role. From an SCM CoE perspective you will help the customer holistically understand their path from the “old” SCM world into the more advanced Business Suite world including AI, mobility, automated scheduling and networks. You will work alongside the account teams in the software evaluation process, develop SAP‑centric solution scenarios, prepare implementation plans, and define outcomes that lead to overall customer success. You will build actionable roadmaps, support the creation of business cases, PoC, give architecture advice and deliver implementation support where needed. You act as the conduit between customer and product management/engineering to prioritize product roadmaps with customer needs, run/support industry‑specific round tables and events for SCM and particularly within supply chain planning and execution. Under the overall DSC Practice mandate, you will advise, design, implement, and deploy our solutions to enhance the client’s business functionality while ensuring high customer satisfaction. You partner with clients and third parties to analyze and define business requirements, technology, processes, and objectives, while maintaining a high‑degree of customer satisfaction. You need to work individually and as part of a high‑performance team locally and globally.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
A proven 7+ years professional experience working as a senior SAP IBP consultant.
Has gained expert knowledge in SAP IBP and ideally covering at least 5+ full implementation life cycles.
Shows a proven project deliver experience with product and domain knowledge in SAP IBP covering a broad range of modules like DP, S'OP, Supply Planning, etc.
Shows a proven delivery experience in projects that have included associated processes such as:
Demand Management
Inventory Management
Capacity Management
Strategic Sourcing
Tactical Planning
Plan execution in SAP PPDS
All relevant master data and organisation structure
In addition, knowledge around planning and execution of SAP Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) processes and IBP is a plus.
Knowledge of industry trends in Supply Chain Management process and best practices (where applicable).
Associate SAP Certification in the Core area and/or a professional certification will be an advantage.
APICS or Oliver Wight certification a bonus.
ABAP development and CPDIS skills a plus.
Strong analytical skills, result‑oriented and effectiveness in problem solving.
Ease in presenting complex information to customers in a clear, well documented and trustworthy manner.
Team player and ability to work successfully in culturally diverse environments.
Strong networking and customer relationship management capabilities.
Excellent communication skills with technical and business focus.
Passionate about technology, innovation, and how digital platforms can solve business challenges.
Experience with ML, IoT, SAP Joule and other AI tools is a plus.
Basic knowledge of programming is a plus.
Practical experience with process modelling tools Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe is a plus.
