Desired Qualifications & experience
Demonstrated knowledge and minimum of 3-5 years of executive leadership experience in the Community Services Industry or equivalent
Post Graduate Qualifications in Business Leadership / Administration or equivalent
Qualifications in Social Impact or equivalent
Qualifications and or equivalent relevant experience in Social Sciences
Purpose
The CEO will exercise leadership and direct managerial responsibility for day to day service delivery and work with the Board to ensure that PICYS' vision, mission, strategic plan and directions are upheld.
This will include maintaining effective working relations with the Board and attending Board meetings.
The Constitution outlines the role of the CEO
The Organisation Chart shows diagrammatically the relationship pathways within the Company
The Governance Policy details the relationships and tasks
The Delegations of Authority outlines the scope of authority.
The overall purpose of the CEO is to operationally lead and facilitate the optimal quality, relationships, performance and social impact of the Company as outlined in the Constitution, the guiding Governance Policies and the Strategic Plan optimising all ethical opportunities and resources available to the purpose.
Duties may include yet are not limited to.
Collaboration with Those Charged with Governance
Work with the Board to achieve the Strategic Plan
Work with the Board to ensure the Company reputation and brand recognition is high quality
Work with the Board to ensure the sustainability of the Company's purpose, social impact and future potential
Representation
Perform duties of Company Secretary
Perform Duties of Company Public Officer
Represent PICYS as organisational Operational Ambassador, including yet not limited to Government elected members, Government agencies, PEAKS, Industry relations, formal communications, media
Operational
Establish, implement, monitor and evaluate PICYS stated aims, objectives, policies and procedures.
Oversee the management of all day-to-day operations of PICYS.
Oversee all legal and contractual compliance requirements.
Development and oversight of Annual operational plans in line with the Strategic Plan
Development and oversight of Annual Budgets to facilitate the Annual Operations Plans and functioning of the Company.
Develop and implement new ideas and programs in line with Strategic directions and or innovation opportunities.
Oversee the preparation and final lodgment Service Agreement reports and acquittals.
Review and evaluate all PICYS programs, projects, work practice, etc.
Review and update PICYS' Quality Management System.
Ensure appropriate communication and reporting of all projects to and from the Board
Prepare monthly report for Board and Attend Board meetings, as required.
Ensure that all reports and acquittals are completed and submitted on time.
Staff Responsibilities
Ensure / provide Clinical Supervision is in place for applicable staff.
Ensure PICYS' supervision policies, practices and culture are maintained to a high quality.
Ensure there are regular staff meetings for internal peer case reviews, and there are regular Case Service Reviews by Youth Services Managers and the CEO.
Ensure Youth Service Manager availability to oversee day-to-day operational support to staff, students and volunteers and monitor their work outcomes.
Ensure staff maintain accurate records of work hours and TOIL.Ensure staff and volunteers have access to relevant information, professional guidance and development and training.
Ensure staff adhere to individual job descriptions.
Advise the Board on matters of staff employment.
Administration
In conjunction with the Treasurer, ensure the financial management of the Company is well maintained and regularly audited by a suitably qualified Independent third party.
Prepare budgets, submissions and general reports, as required.
Ensure equipment, vehicles and property owned, or administered by the service, are maintained.
Ensure that budgets are kept in check, reporting any issues to the treasurer and make adjustments as required.
Oversee general administration of the Company.

As reasonably directed by the Board or Chairperson.
