Match Statistics Analyst – Premier Data Premier Data is looking for motivated individuals to join one of Australia’s fastest growing sports analytics companies.

Location: Melbourne, Perth – Australia

Role Type: Casual

Start Date: 28 February 2026

What’s Involved The role focuses on watching grassroots football matches and accurately coding individual player statistics using our specialised software. Team members undergo specific training to enhance their knowledge around the game of Australian rules football, and develop practical skills in areas such as data collection & interpretation.

Tasks May Include

Coding Australian Rules football games in a comprehensive manner

Collecting, analysing and interpreting data

Liaising with supervisors to identify best performing players to highlight

Ideal Candidate

Have completed a related degree such as sport science, sport management etc.

Have a strong work ethic and pride themselves on quality of work

Have a keen interest and enjoy the analytical aspects of sports

Applicants must be available Sundays & Mondays; availability on Saturdays will be favourable.

Desirable Skills

Strong communication skills

Strong level of sports knowledge, rules and gameplay (particularly AFL)

Proactive attitude and initiative in appropriate situations

Desirable Criteria

Sports Management / Business Degree

Exercise Science Degree
