Chief Financial Officer

Picklebet is a cutting-edge sports, racing, and esports betting platform redefining the wagering experience for a modern audience. Currently a top 10 operator in Australia, we are expanding offshore with the launch of our brand-new Online Casino vertical, built upon our proprietary technology platform. We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to lead our design function and craft the next generation of our betting platform.

The role The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical leadership role at Picklebet, driving the financial direction of the business and ensuring the company is built on strong commercial and governance foundations. As a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, the CFO is responsible for shaping long‑term value creation while maintaining disciplined financial management in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.

The role carries accountability for the full finance function, including planning and performance, regulatory and statutory compliance, cash flow and capital strategy, and the development of efficient, scalable finance operations. As Picklebet expands into new markets, the CFO will ensure financial structures, controls, and reporting standards evolve to support multi‑jurisdiction operations.

This position suits a commercially minded CFO who enjoys being embedded in the business — someone comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, navigating complexity, and building systems and teams that support sustainable growth over the long term.

Responsibilities:

Lead all core finance functions, including financial control, management reporting, tax, treasury and cash flow management.

Oversee international expansion and its financial operations, including cross‑border compliance and multi‑currency reporting.

Deliver high‑quality forecasting, budgeting, and board reporting to support informed decision‑making.

Partner with the CEO and executive team on commercial strategy, growth initiatives, product investment, and entry into new markets.

Manage board, investor, and external stakeholder relationships as required.

Your profile:

Proven experience in a senior finance leadership position (CFO, Head of Finance, Finance Director or equivalent)

Previous experience in wagering and technology businesses would be highly regarded

Demonstrated success leading finance functions through rapid scale, transformation and organisational change.

Deep understanding of financial reporting, audit, regulatory compliance, and financial governance frameworks.

Experience in managing international financial operations, including multi‑currency reporting, cross‑border tax, and regulatory requirements.

Reliable and confident communication with Boards and investors.

Experienced in capital management and fundraising.

Proven ability to build, lead, mentor, and develop finance teams.

Professionally qualified (CA, CPA, CFA or comparable).
