The role This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join their Sydney team as a Field Service Engineer. In this role, you\'ll be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing maintenance of complex scientific instrumentation used in research and industrial applications. The role will involve travel to mining clients across the East Coast of Australia. Base pay range A$85,000.00/yr - A$90,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Install and configure analytical instruments and systems, ensuring optimal performance from delivery to sign-off. Diagnose and resolve issues remotely or in the field, ensuring timely repairs and high customer satisfaction. Conduct regular maintenance to prevent equipment failure and maintain optimal operation. Keep customers informed on the status of ongoing service requests and escalate issues when necessary. Key Requirements Diploma or higher qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2+ years of experience in technical support, customer service, or field service engineering. Hands-on experience with precision mechanics and technical troubleshooting. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Willingness to travel extensively (50%-60%) across the East Coast of Australia. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and work independently.
