Senior Lawyer, Regulatory (5-8 PAE), ASAP Commencement

A Commonwealth legal branch is seeking an experienced regulatory lawyer to within a specialist team advising on legislation and regulatory decision-making functions.

You will provide high-level legal advice on regulatory and decision-making functions, working closely with operational stakeholders and senior decision-makers. The position requires strong technical capability and sound judgment within a public law framework

The term runs until 30 June 2026. A security clearance is required. Immediate start is possible. Package expectations are around $250,000 – $280,000 package on a converted daily rate.

About You

5+ years PAE, ideally with private practice experience.

Demonstrated experience in administrative law and regulatory environments.

Experience drafting regulatory matters

Experience applying the PGPA Act.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight timeframes.
