St John Ambulance Australia SA Ltd has been serving the South Australian community since 1885 and is part of a wider international organisation with a long and honourable history. It is a selfโfunding charitable organisation supporting the wellbeing of South Australians and assists tens of thousands of people across the state each year through the delivery of event health services, first aid training and products, and social inclusion programs.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working alongside the Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer as part of a tightโknit executive team, this broad role is accountable for customer satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy. The Chief Marketing and Fundraising Officer leads and ensures the implementation of the shortโ and longโterm profitable growth strategy and activities. Supported by a team of specialist managers across marketing, lottery and fundraising disciplines, the role facilitates ownership of customer experience excellence throughout St John SA and upholds alignment to strategic customer segment expectations and goals.
The position will be critical in ensuring brand presence and clarity, delivering new revenue streams, achieving continuous improvement, disseminating key marketing and associated messaging while maintaining relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Oversight of the St John Ambulance lottery is also a paramount responsibility.
Responsibilities
Lead and ensure implementation of the shortโ and longโterm profitable growth strategy and related activities.
Facilitate ownership of customer experience excellence across the organisation.
Ensure brand presence, clarity and effective brand communication.
Deliver new revenue streams and oversee the St John Ambulance lottery.
Maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement and disseminate key marketing and associated messaging.
Qualifications
Proven senior experience in marketing, communications and fundraising roles.
Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising CRM systems.
Strong background in customer and donor research and analytical techniques.
Experience in strategy process improvement, humanโcentred design and performance management.
A consultative management style that respects and values staff and volunteers, with warmth, empathy, good humour, integrity and credibility.
