Financial Planning and Analysis Lead (Budget & Forecast)

Role Details
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Lead – Budget & Forecast to join our Group Finance team at our Adelaide Head Office. This is a pivotal role reporting to the Finance Director, responsible for leading group-wide budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and commercial analysis. You will play a key role in supporting executive decision‑making and ensuring financial planning aligns with Perilya’s strategic objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be a key driver of financial insight across the business, partnering closely with site finance teams, corporate functions and senior leadership.
Leading the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across the Group
Consolidating and validating financial inputs from mine sites, departments and corporate functions
Maintaining and enhancing rolling forecast models aligned to operational drivers and market conditions
Developing executive dashboards, KPI reporting and variance analysis
Delivering clear, insightful commentary to senior finance leadership and executives
Building scenario‑based financial models to support capital projects, investment decisions and strategic initiatives
Preparing executive briefing papers, board presentations and management reports
Supporting shareholder and parent company reporting with forward‑looking analysis
Driving continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems and reporting cadence
Leveraging ERP and BI tools to improve automation, data integrity and reporting efficiency
What You Will Bring
You are a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in complex, capital‑intensive environments and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders.
A
Bachelor’s degree
in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
7+ years’ experience
in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering roles
Strong experience leading
budgeting and forecasting
in multi‑entity organisations
Advanced
Excel‑based financial modelling
and analytical capability
Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear executive insights
Experience working with
ERP systems
(e.g. Pronto, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
High levels of commercial acumen and governance discipline
Highly regarded
CPA, CA, CFA, MBA or other postgraduate qualifications
Experience in
mining, resources or capital‑intensive industries
Exposure to consolidated group reporting and shareholder reporting
Experience supporting major capital projects and strategic initiatives
