Job Description

As our

Head of Merchandise Planning , based in our HQ at Loganholme nestled between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, you’ll lead the strategy behind how we build, buy and move product to maximise sales, profitability, and community impact across all channels. This role drives our assortment planning, inventory strategy and forecasting frameworks - ensuring we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time. You’ll coach and elevate your team while partnering deeply with wider Merchandise, Marketing, Operations and Finance departments to shape the future of our product engine.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead the Merchandise Planning team to deliver performance, development and succession aligned to our mission and values

Oversee the full merchandise planning cycle and Open-to-Buy to achieve sales, margin and stock turn goals

Build option counts and category budgets in partnership with the Merchandise team

Manage inventory flow across e-commerce and retail to support an integrated merchandise and marketing calendar

Maintain 95% in‑stock availability on core lines, identifying risks early and acting fast

Provide clear, actionable assortment and buy‑plan insights, including style counts, colour weighting, size curves and stock‑turn assumptions

Develop and execute a profitable markdown strategy

Conduct market, trend, community and competitor analysis to uncover opportunities for growth

Analyse sales performance and provide regular reporting, insights and recommendations

Partner with Buying, Marketing, Operations and Finance to align planning with broader business strategy

Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing Planning team

Manage merchandise budgets, forecasts and profitability targets

Essential Skills and Exposure

Proven success in merchandise planning leadership, ideally within retail apparel

Strong analytical capability and strategic mindset

Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills

High proficiency with retail analytics tools and Microsoft Excel

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
