UAC occupies a system‑critical position in the higher education landscape. As the sector navigates regulatory reform, financial constraint, and rising expectations, UAC is sharpening its focus on strategic leadership, enhancing services, disciplined execution, and long‑term financial sustainability.

Job Description The Opportunity

UAC is seeking an experienced Non‑Executive Director with a background in strategic leadership, finance, or change to contribute to this next phase of renewal. As a Director, you will work with the Board and Management team to:

Effectively navigate strategy renewal and change

Strengthen performance and financial sustainability

Maintain strong governance, risk, and accountability

Desired Skills and Experience About You

You are a senior leader with experience across strategy, finance, or organisational change. You are likely to bring:

Senior executive experience (CFO, CEO, COO or equivalent)

Strong strategic leadership or commercial experience

Experience leading or governing strategic change

Relevant board or governance experience

A pragmatic, outcomes‑focused mindset

Formal governance qualifications (GAICD) and financial credentials (CA/CPA) are well regarded.

Time Commitment This remunerated role involves up to five Board meetings per year, including an annual strategy workshop, plus committee participation. Meetings are primarily held in person at Rhodes, Sydney.
