Nucleus Network Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Head of Data Management to join our growing team. This full‑time role can be based in
Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney
and plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and leadership of our data operations.
The Data function provides strategic leadership across clinical data, study design, and study builds - enabling the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of clinical trials at Nucleus Network.
As
Head of Data , you will own the global data and study build strategy, ensuring scalable, consistent, and compliant approaches that support operational excellence and innovation across our international portfolio.
This role requires demonstrated experience in clinical trials (or equivalent), with proven knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP), and experience in data management within a clinical trial site or CRO environment.
What you'll be doing
Strategic & Enterprise Leadership
Lead global clinical data management, study design, and study build activities.
Set and deliver the enterprise data and study build strategy aligned to operations, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Drive standardisation, scalability, and consistency across regions.
Study Build & Data Governance
Establish global frameworks and governance for study design and data management.
Ensure data integrity, quality oversight, and regulatory compliance (ICH‑GCP, SOPs).
Lead continuous improvement across study builds, data flows, and systems.
Operational Partnership
Partner with Project Delivery, Medical Operations, Quality, Laboratory, and Pharmacy to embed data excellence across the trial lifecycle.
Provide expert input into feasibility, study setup, risk identification, and mitigation.
Lead and develop high‑performing specialist teams across clinical data and study design.
Build capability, succession, and a strong performance culture aligned to NN values.
Drive alignment across Nucleus Network and Hammersmith Medicines Research.
Lead innovative delivery models leveraging technology, AI, and global workforce solutions to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
What we\'re looking for
Experience (5+ years) in data management, with a proven track record of leading successful data initiatives
In-depth knowledge of data management principles, tools and technologies
Proficient in data modelling, data governance, data quality management and data analytics
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams
Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
