Head of Sales โ€“ Australia & New Zealand

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially-driven leader to join our executive team as Head of Sales.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the commercial footprint of a fast-growing, small-cap pharmaceutical company, where your contributions will be recognised and rewardedโ€”including equity participation.

As Head of Sales, you will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and lead our sales strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

You will drive revenue growth, build and mentor a high-performing sales team, and ensure alignment with broader commercial and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement a high-impact sales strategy aligned with the company's commercial objectives

Drive revenue growth across key therapeutic areas in Australia and New Zealand

Monitor sales performance, set KPIs, and implement initiatives to achieve and exceed targets

Lead, mentor, and expand the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance

Support professional development and succession planning for sales personnel

Market & Customer Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders

Identify and capitalise on market opportunities, competitor activity, and emerging trends

Represent AlgoraeRx at conferences, industry forums, and customer meetings

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless commercial operations

Collaborate with the CCO on pricing, tender submissions, and commercial partnerships

Key Selection Criteria

Minimum 8โ€“10 years of sales leadership experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally specialty and innovative therapies

Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in Australia and New Zealand

Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing, and commercial strategy in the pharmaceutical sector

Experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams

Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with executive leadership

Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy, Science, Business, or a related discipline (preferred)
