The Opportunity
We are seeking a Head of Lifecycle Marketing & Automation to become an integral part of the dynamic Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) marketing team. In this high-impact role you will have the opportunity to lead lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, and web and digital optimisation across five of our FLG brands.
Shape the future of member engagement in APAC’s leading fitness and wellness company. This senior marketing leadership role sets the vision for lifecycle marketing and automation, partnering tightly with cross-functional teams (brand, studios, product, data and IT) to optimise platforms and prioritise outstanding member outcomes.
Lead with accountability across two key areas:
Lifecycle Marketing: end-to-end customer journey management, covering acquisition, retention, recovery, SEO, measurement, landing pages, content, forms and full CMS ownership.
Marketing Automation: Salesforce Marketing Cloud strategy, governance, hygiene, large-scale project delivery, and data-driven automated communications.
Our ideal candidate will have the opportunity to make strategic decisions with key stakeholders across the business including brand leaders, operations and sales teams. They will thrive in a fast-changing and collaborative environment to impact how our members experience FLG across our brands.
Based in our Brisbane office, this 12-month contract opportunity is available and commencing in March 2026.
Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Team and functional leadership
Lead the lifecycle, automation and web and digital optimisation functions through a period of continuity.
Set clear priorities, support direct reports and maintain a steady delivery rhythm across planning, execution, QA and review.
Lifecycle strategy and delivery
Oversee lifecycle marketing across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention and recovery, ensuring activity is aligned to both member experience and commercial outcomes.
Platform ownership and governance
Own the health and effective use of FLG’s marketing and experience platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, related Salesforce products, web experimentation tooling and CMS platform.
Data and technical leadership
Provide clear requirements and direction, engage confidently in platform and data discussions, read and challenge SQL logic, validate audience and data flows and guide teams through technical delivery, platform change and migration work with confidence.
Web and digital optimisation
Provide leadership coverage for web and digital optimisation and ensure this work remains connected to lifecycle and growth objectives.
Cross-brand and stakeholder leadership
Work closely with brand, studio, product, data, IT and agency partners, providing clear communication on priorities, risks and trade-offs and supporting decision making through considered recommendations.
About you
Skills and experience
Many years of leadership experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation roles, including responsibility for leading teams or functions.
Strong hands-on capability in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable enterprise automation, CEP, or CRM platform.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional delivery across marketing, data, product, technology, and digital teams.
Strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills with experience influencing senior leaders and managing competing priorities.
High level of data literacy and comfort operating within modern data stacks and complex data environments.
Solid SQL literacy, with the ability to confidently read, validate, and challenge SQL logic, and write or adapt queries when required.
Experience overseeing web and digital optimisation, including conversion improvement, experimentation, and performance measurement, in partnership with product and engineering teams.
Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud or similar customer data platforms.
Experience working with Snowflake, particularly in partnership with data teams on table structures, ingestion patterns, and governance.
