Padua College is an independent Catholic Boys' Day School from Years 5-12 conducted by the Order of Franciscan Friars minor with an enrolment of over 1500 boys.

About the Role
As a member of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT), the Head of School (Middle Phase) shares responsibility for the extended leadership of the College’s Vision, Mission and Strategic Priorities, and contributes to the life and good management, and continuous improvement of the College.
More broadly, the Head of School (Middle Phase) leads the goals of the College Strategic Plan and the Annual Action Plan to pursue enhanced outcomes for all members of the College Community working collaboratively and proactively with all members of the Senior Leadership Team to collectively deliver on the College strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will be appointed to this role for an initial term of four (4) years, in accordance with Clause S2.13.1 for Middle Leadership. This appointment includes a permanent position as a teacher and includes a teaching role for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Lead milestone events as part of activating the Franciscan Way for Middle Phase learners.
Collaborate with the Formation Team to develop opportunities for Christian community service and social justice.
Implement exemplary curriculum programs and pedagogy for a range of year levels and students with differing needs in an important stage of each individuals learning journey.
Support the delivery of effective pedagogy in accordance with the College Learning Framework and Strategic Directions with a focus on the student and staff as learners.
Undertake annual reviews including the preparation of annual reports relevant to the Middle Phase of Learning.

To be considered for this role, you should have:
Masters degree or equivalent
Current Queensland Teacher Registration
Demonstrated achievement in school leadership, specifically in the Middle Phase of learning.
Demonstrated working knowledge and application of the AITSL Professional standards.
