We need a Senior Engineer with the technical judgment to turn "what we have now" into a world‑class, future‑proof platform. This isn't about maintaining the status quo; it’s about enabling scale through engineering excellence.

The Role

Location:

95% Remote (AEST/AEDT availability required)

Tech Stack:

Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, Serverless, AWS

Focus:

70% Hands‑on Engineering | 30% Architecture, Mentorship & Process

Background Checks required:

What You’ll Do

Strengthen Foundations:

Evolve our serverless AWS architecture. You’ll identify and kill the architectural "debt" that limits speed, replacing it with resilient, observable systems.

Raise the Bar:

Own the "how." Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing standards, and incident response so we catch issues before our customers do.

Lead Through Action:

Remain deep in the codebase while providing technical direction to our offshore team. You’ll translate ambitious business goals into executable technical roadmaps.

Security & Privacy:

Lead with a security-first mindset—essential in a domain where data privacy is everything.

About You You’ve likely seen what happens when a product outgrows its infrastructure, and you’re determined to do it better this time. You are pragmatic, bringing structure and calm to complex problems without the "process theatre."

Your Toolkit

5+ Years Experience:

Building and operating production SaaS at scale.

Full‑Stack Proficiency:

Deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular.

AWS Native:

You don't just use AWS; you understand its security, infrastructure, and monitoring deeply.

Startup DNA:

You thrive in small teams (

Experience with SOC2 compliance or managing offshore dev teams.
