About Only About Children We believe children have a right to a choice when it comes to their learning, so at Only About Children (OAC) the basis of our curriculum is child‑led play‑based learning. This is embedded into our daily practice with programs such as Active, Drama, Language, Music & Sustainability. Our programs are not “bolted on” – they are embedded into everything that we do. We operate over 80 campuses across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and provide high‑quality early years education and care to over 8,000 families.

About This Role Our Melbourne campuses are looking to welcome full‑time Diploma‑qualified Early Childhood Educators with at least two years of full‑time work experience in an Early Childhood setting who will work with our friendly, supportive, and fun teams. This is a full‑time role opportunity for a Diploma‑qualified Room Leader and we offer an annual salary of $68,865 to $80,000+ Super, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure child safety and welfare at all times by actively supervising and interacting with children.

Ensure that our children are educated and cared for to the highest standard.

Ensure every child is able to engage with educators in meaningful, open interactions that support the acquisition of skills for life and learning.

Interact with each child in a warm and responsive way and build trusting relationships.

Facilitate a nurturing and loving environment for the children at the campus.

Provide childcare services that comply with the national regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and support the Early Years Learning Framework.

Provide ongoing input for all documentation associated with Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) requirements.

Ensure delivery and maintenance of routines and programs specific to the room including small groups.

Implement the Grow curriculum within the Campus.

Document the children's learning through the OAC Connect app, supporting and mentoring other team members.

Create and set up interesting learning environments for the children in line with OAC Grow.

Work as a team and support and respect other team members about developmental outcomes and school readiness in consultation with the Campus Director.

Role Responsibilities

Inspire children through play‑based and interest‑focused activities.

Mentor a team of Educators through educational guidance.

Create meaningful partnerships with families, children, and educators to create positive outcomes for all children in our care.

Plan and program with support from the OAC Grow Curriculum and EYLF.

Maintain ongoing records of the children's development.

Assist with daily room tasks, e.g. activity preparation and meal times.

Maintain an ongoing commitment to child safety and wellbeing in everyday practices.

Our Campuses Only About Children’s early learning campuses have been designed to inspire 0–6”-olds to grow, learn and discover. Spanning across three levels with age‑specific learning environments, the campuses have an open, but intimate feeling. The playgrounds and resources are designed to facilitate the latest and most interactive designs to ensure a fun and entertaining time for the children in our care. Skills and Experience Requirements

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognised Registered Training Organisation (or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification).

Minimum of two years full‑time relevant work experience.

A genuine passion for Early Childhood education and development.

A creative, supportive and cooperative team player.

Current Working with Children Check (Employee).

Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.

Programming, planning, snapshots.

Managing the team within the room.

Communicating and liaising with parents and families.

Documenting children's learning.

Establishing room routines.
