Details A Western VIC GP practice requires a Specialist in General Practice from 15/01/2024 (ongoing arrangement)

Looking for 2-3 VRGP’s to work between 1 and 3 days per week in a small, 29 bed, inpatient Drug and Alcohol (AOD) hospital in Geelong ongoing.

Hourly rate or 70% of billings if preferred

8‑hour shifts worked between 8am and 5pm (flexible start time; may finish at 6pm if better suited to GP)

Monday to Friday, no weekend sessions

Tasks include:

Hospital medical admissions – admission template provided

Small ward round (approximately 6–8 patients per day) accompanied by a nurse

Mental Health Care Plans

GP reviews e.g. minor medical issues, discussing results; all medical requests are triaged by nursing staff before being booked with GP

Admin work includes completion of discharge summaries (template provided), DVA, Acute Care and Centrelink certificates to reflect hospital stay
