Highly Skilled Legal Counsel
Global Organisation
Sydney – Hybrid Working
Our client a global organisation is seeking a highly skilled legal counsel to join their experienced legal team with expertise in construction and M&A. The role will involve providing critical legal and commercial advice to the business on complex construction projects and corporate activities.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating major construction and engineering contracts
Working on EPC, D&C, alliance, PPP, JV agreements
Supporting the projects teams and working closely with key stakeholders
Providing advice on risk allocation, claims management and dispute avoidance
Advising on corporate structuring, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, acquisitions, divestments, and due diligence.
Supporting negotiations on commercial agreements including sale and purchase agreements.
Working closely with and managing external counsel.
Key Requirements
Ideally 6- 10 years PQE experience from a leading firm or in-house organisation
Previous experience in construction law and large scale infrastructure projects
Ideally proven experience across M&A and joint ventures
Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex, high-value transactions
Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
