Contract Data Scientist - North Brisbane

is partnering with a large enterprise organisation in North Brisbane seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a mature data environment supporting major infrastructure and asset operations. This is an initial 8 month contract with review for extensions.

The Role You will work across data, GIS and operational teams to deliver practical, high impact analytics that support performance, forecasting and long term investment decisions.

Key focus areas:

Build predictive and forecasting models using complex operational data

Work with spatial and asset related datasets

Develop time series and optimisation models

Automate workflows using Python

Partner with data engineering and GIS teams to deliver clean, analysis ready data

Present clear, commercial insights to senior stakeholders

3/2 work environment

What You Bring

Proven Data Scientist experience in a complex enterprise environment

Strong Python and SQL capability

Experience with large structured datasets

Exposure to spatial or geospatial data highly regarded

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

This is a strong contract opportunity within a well established organisation investing heavily in data and analytics.
