Together, they are advancing the Moorlands Thermal Coal Project located less than 15 kilometres from Blair Athol as a key extension.

This development is set to play a vital role in enhancing production capacity and supporting long-term growth across their Australian portfolio.

Terracom are currently seeking a seasoned mining General Manager OR a high performing operational leader ready to take the next step and make their mark as General Manager – Operations / Site Senior Executive (SSE).

This is a career defining opportunity for a leader who wants full accountability for the end-to-end coal delivery chain, from resource to ship. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational strategy, safety, performance, and culture, leading the delivery of approximately 1.8 Mtpa while shaping how the operation performs today and into the future.

You will lead the Pit to Port process, including planning, mining, processing, crushing, quality control, maintenance, logistics, and statutory safety obligations, ensuring safe, reliable, and timely coal delivery. This role is ideal for someone who wants real influence, visible impact, and the opportunity to leave a lasting operational and cultural legacy.

About You

A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.

Proven experience as a General Manager or senior operational leader within coal mining and coal delivery operations.

A current SSE qualification with practical knowledge of coal mining, processing, and statutory safety obligations.

A strong track record of delivering budgeted production outcomes safely and sustainably.

Exceptional leadership capability with the ability to align teams behind clear expectations and purpose.

Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with confidence using data to drive decisions.

Experience across maintenance planning, coal processing, and operational execution in a production mining environment.

Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

A disciplined approach to risk, governance, and operational assurance.
