We are looking for an experienced Anaesthetist to step into the role of Deputy Director. This is a key leadership position supporting the Director Anaesthetics and helping shape a service that continues to grow with its community.

About the role As Deputy Director, you will play a central role in leading anaesthetic services and ensuring safe, high-quality care. You will provide expert clinical anaesthesia across a broad range of specialties, support daily departmental operations, and help drive service development and improvement.

About you You are a collaborative leader and skilled Anaesthetist with a strong commitment to patient‑centred care.

You bring :

FANZCA or equivalent

Specialist registration with AHPRA

Experience in a tertiary or major hospital setting

Proven leadership and resource management skills

Strong teaching, supervision, and communication skills

Willingness to work extended spans of ordinary hours to meet clinical demand
