Description
As the General Manager for the Australian operations, you will be a commercially astute and hands‑on leader with experience in industrial, building products, B2B or related sectors. You will lead and manage the Australian business across sales, operations, and supply chain, and steer the overall operations and strategic direction of the business in Australia.
Other key responsibilities will include the following:
Driving commercial growth and customer engagement across B2B channels.
Identifying market opportunities and leading the development of new business initiatives.
Developing and leading a high‑performing, accountable team culture, including mentoring and supporting the leadership team.
Strengthening relationships with OEMs, distributors, and large installers.
Implementing KPIs aligned with a clear business vision and strategic goals.
Improving operational efficiency and inventory management.
Promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Profile
The successful applicant should have the following:
Proven leadership experience ideally within the B2B building-related industries (e.g., air conditioning, windows, doors, etc.), B2B or industrial or manufacturing sectors.
Previous experience working within a local subsidiary of an MNC would be advantageous.
Exposure to mid‑size businesses with both technical and commercial responsibilities.
A strong background in strategic planning, sales and operational management.
Exceptional financial acumen and budget‑management skills.
Experience in driving business growth and managing change effectively.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
A commitment to fostering a collaborative and results‑driven team culture.
