We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist – Consultation Liaison to deliver world‑class mental health services and lead innovation in patient care.

About the Role Based in Adelaide's northern metropolitan area, you will provide specialist psychiatric consultation and liaison services to medical and surgical teams. Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex mental health presentations in the general hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist psychiatric care and expert consultation across hospital and community settings

Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment recommendations

Lead care planning and collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals

Drive continuous quality improvement and uphold the highest standards of patient safety

Mentor trainee medical officers and contribute to education programs

Collaborate with medical teams to optimise patient outcomes

Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a MBBS or equivalent, and appropriate specialist qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
