Emergency Medicine Physician

Opportunity As an Emergency Medicine Consultant, you will lead the management of acute and complex emergency cases, providing expert clinical guidance within a multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, mentor junior medical staff, collaborate with nurses and allied health professionals, and shape the ongoing development of the Emergency Department.

The Facility This tertiary Level 3 teaching hospital has just under 400 beds and employs around 1,700 staff. It provides care to a catchment population of approximately 200,000 people, spanning urban centres, regional hospitals, and remote Aboriginal communities.

The hospital is affiliated with Flinders University, featuring an onsite Medical School, and is ACEM-accredited as a major referral centre, offering up to two years of advanced emergency training.

Requirements

Have specialist registration with AHPRA / FACEM and at least 12 months recent experience

Be on ACEM training program

AUS / NZ FACEM recently qualified

IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway – UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ

IMG's with ACEM interview date

IMG's assessed by ACEM and found to be substantially comparable.
