Myndshift Group has been engaged by our client partner, a well‑renowned contract miner, to recruit a

Facilities Superintendent

for their large open‑cut coal project in the northern end of the Bowen Basin.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring all buildings and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard, while effectively managing contractors and service providers to deliver safe, compliant, and cost‑effective outcomes. The role works closely with site leadership to support operational requirements and drive continuous improvement in facilities and services.

Key Responsibilities

Overall management of all site facilities, buildings, accommodation camp, and supporting infrastructure

Coordination, supervision, and performance management of facilities and infrastructure contractors

Development and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance plans and schedules

Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements

Budget management, cost control, and contractor cost optimisation

Liaising with site leadership and operational teams to support site requirements

Driving continuous improvement in facilities management, systems, and service delivery

About You

Proven experience in facilities or infrastructure management within mining, resources, or remote operations

Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills

Demonstrated leadership capability with a hands‑on, proactive approach

Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and maintenance systems

Strong organisational, planning, and cost control skills
