Head of Business Development

Position:

Head of Business Development, ANZ (Australia & New Zealand)

Job Responsibilities

Team management, be responsible for team talent development

Develop and implement effective strategic business plans for the overall business in the assigned area, ensure the accurate execution of the designed strategy, and make rapid adaptations to the fast-developing market.

Be accountable to develop solutions to achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned area;

Collaborate with Marketing, PM center, Technical Support Team, Production, R&D, and other functional groups to implement business strategies, actively develop customer base and new business opportunities;

Work closely with commercial excellence group to effectively process customer inquiries, improve business systems and develop effective training systems;

Build a business reference network for business expansion;

Work through channel partners and key customers to achieve the sales targets.

Requirements

Masters or PhD in biological science or a related discipline with 5+ years of industry experience;

Strong record in business performance, including Marketing insight, strategy design, customer analysis, etc;

Knowledge of the Biological and CRO market with an emphasis on one or more of the following: Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, BioAssay, Antibody or Cell Line,

Products, and Services;

Solid business, planning, budget management acumen, and high business analytical capability to optimize business decisions;

Well skilled in strategic thinking and business strategy executions with proven successful record in business management. Be capable of working productively and collaboratively with both internal partners and external collaborators;

Record of attracting and developing strong talents both internally and externally. Proven ability to grow and develop others;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills;

Able to commit travel overnights.
