We are a well-established and rapidly growing civil construction business delivering high-quality projects across the region. With strong year-on-year growth and a commitment to excellence, we are now seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead our operations and drive the next phase of expansion.

About the Role As the General Manager, you will oversee all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the business. You will lead a high-performing team, streamline systems and processes, and ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor department managers and staff across the organization

Oversee day‑to‑day operations, project performance and workforce utilisation

Drive profitability through strong financial management, budgeting and forecasting

Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, suppliers and industry partners

Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality standards

Improve processes, systems and organisational structure to support business growth

Guide strategic planning, business development and new market opportunities

Provide regular performance reporting to the Managing Director

What We’re Looking For

Proven leadership experience in civil construction, earthworks, infrastructure, or related sectors

Strong operational and project management background

High‑level commercial and financial acumen

Ability to lead teams, improve performance and build strong company culture

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills

Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively

Experience scaling teams or business units (highly regarded)

Qualifications

Minimum 5–10 years’ management experience

Relevant industry qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Business or similar (preferred but not essential)
