Overview
Solutions Architect - Microsoft Stack (SA) at Chamonix IT Solutions. Join a hands-on Solution Architect role with a software development background, focused on designing and delivering digital transformation solutions. The position is based in Adelaide, Australia, with opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of clients, projects, and technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem (from .NET and Azure through to M365, SharePoint, or PowerPlatform).
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of application and enterprise-level solutions (such as COTS solutions, .NET applications, mobile applications, M365, Azure, etc.).
Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to optimise architecture and delivery.
Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and sustainable designs.
Identify risks and mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Produce high-quality architectural documentation and design artefacts.
Work closely with the sales team to support presales activities.
Skills and Experience Required
A background in software development and 5+ years in solution architecture.
Broad experience across the Microsoft stack – .NET, Azure, and M365 – with exposure to technologies such as Power Platform and SharePoint desirable.
Proven ability to deliver complex enterprise solutions in a consulting environment.
Presales experience and confidence engaging directly with clients and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of architecture principles, design patterns, and modern cloud-native approaches.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Expertise in designing solutions with a focus on architectural integrity, scalability, and security.
Broad knowledge across the Microsoft technology stack and related technologies.
