About the Role We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Nursing with strong expertise in Clinical Governance and Risk Management to join our Executive Leadership Team.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across all clinical services. This pivotal role will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient‑centred care while embedding robust governance and risk management frameworks across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure safe, high-quality, patient‑centred care across all specialties

Lead clinical governance, risk management, and patient safety frameworks

Maintain NSQHS compliance, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement

Oversee policy development, audits, performance monitoring, and incident management

Contribute to strategic planning, service growth, and innovation

Collaborate with VMOs and key stakeholders to enhance service delivery

Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and clinical team development

Foster a positive, accountable, high‑performing clinical culture

Manage clinical budgets and ensure cost‑effective resource utilisation aligned with quality outcomes

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (mandatory)

Postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management, Clinical Governance, or related field

Current AHPRA registration

Extensive leadership experience within private hospital operations

Proven expertise in Clinical Governance and Risk Management frameworks

Demonstrated success with NSQHS Accreditation processes

Strong experience in policy development and regulatory compliance

Exceptional interpersonal and executive communication skills

Strategic thinking combined with operational excellence
