The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.**How you will create an impact**AIG Property is a global leader in its field and deploys market leading capacity across a diverse range of Industries in both the Corporate and Middle Market segments. You will contribute to the success of the Commercial Property profit center by underwriting a sustainable and profitable portfolio of Commercial Property business within corporate underwriting guidelines and within granted underwriting authority. In particular, you will grow and manage a portfolio that will make up an integral part of the overall Australian book of business.Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:* The underwriting and acceptance of business within the Property portfolio, in accordance with underwriting principles, relevant authority, and risk & compliance procedures* Contribute to financial objective targets by adhering to established strategic goals, objectives and action plans.* Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and manage existing relationships* Increase AIG market share through development, new distributions and improved relationships with key producers, clients and industry groups.* Maintain accurate files, registers and records to contribute to audit requirements, management reporting and timely service and policy issuance* Assist in the implementation of business plans in accordance with product line direction, and corporate goals and strategies**What you’ll need to succeed*** Underwriting experience, primarily focused on Corporate ISR business, but also in the middle market area.* Ability to negotiate complex deals with both international and domestic brokers.* Strong knowledge of ISR policy wordings* Ability to manage existing relationships as well as source new business opportunities within occupancy segments in underwriting appetite.* Demonstrate strong work ethic and be motivated to succeed and progress your career.* Ability to interpret the modelled output, pricing and line setting tools to make informed decisions on growth opportunities* Strong interpersonal skills – particularly collaboration and engagement skills* Sound communication skills – including written and presentation skills* Strong team player* Willingness and desire to learn* Extensive experience in underwriting and/or broking Commercial Property insurance* Previous experience within a commercial insurance environment, including exposure to clients and/or intermediariesAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
