About the role
A well-established and expanding organisation within the renewable energy sector is seeking a high-performing
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to join its executive leadership team.
With the current CFO transitioning into the CEO position, this is a rare succession opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role at a pivotal growth stage.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead financial strategy, governance, risk management and operational performance across the business. This position requires a commercially astute executive capable of operating at board level while maintaining strong financial controls and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Strategic Leadership
Lead long-term financial planning and corporate strategy
Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team
Provide high-level financial insight to support board decision-making
Support expansion initiatives and capital growth strategies
Financial Management & Governance
Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
Maintain strong financial controls and reporting standards
Ensure compliance, governance and risk management frameworks
Strengthen financial systems and reporting processes
Commercial & Operational Performance
Support commercial negotiations and investment decisions
Drive financial efficiency and cost management strategies
Deliver performance analysis and executive reporting
Improve business intelligence and forecasting capability
Leadership & Culture
Lead and develop the finance function
Promote accountability, integrity and high-performance standards
Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience as CFO or Senior Finance Executive
Strong commercial acumen and strategic capability
Experience scaling or growing businesses
Executive-level leadership and board engagement
High integrity, credibility and professional maturity
Exceptional organisational and operational efficiency
Highly Regarded
CPA or CA qualification
Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, construction or capital-intensive sectors
Experience leading finance transformation initiatives
Salary & Benefits
$150,000 - $200,000 + super (depending on experience)
