The General Manager will lead DDR’s business operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to client specifications, and with successful financial outcomes.
This is a pivotal leadership role, working closely with the Board and executive stakeholders to drive strategy, mentor talent, and build a culture of excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage and motivate our growing Australia wide workforce, creating succession strategies for future opportunities.
Collaborate with the Board to deliver strategic direction and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
Maintain and lead the boards Values, Mission and Vision.
Adapt to changing demands with agility, overcoming barriers and driving innovation.
Optimise resources to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the business.
Maintain Supply Nation Accreditation compliance in partnership with the Board.
Establish and manage budgets and forecasts, securing revenue, mitigating risk, and enabling future projects.
Develop and refine operational systems and procedures, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Actively champion the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities with both current and new clients.
Champion safety culture, exceeding compliance with Management System policies, Defence requirements, and regulatory standards.
Mentor and develop talent across all levels, building management skills and business acumen.
Direct reports: National Operations Manager, National Commercial Manager, Business Support Manager and Aboriginal Engagement and Mentoring Manager/s.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Extensive demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role.
Previous experience in an operational or commercial role, in a similar business.
Industry experience in mining, building, energy and/or construction sectors.
Extensive project management and delivery skills.
Strong history in business development and pre-contracts.
Exceptional interpersonal, and leadership/mentoring skills.

Qualifications and Requirements
Tertiary Engineering and/or Construction/Project Management Qualifications
Motivated to increase employment and supply chain opportunities for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, nationally.
