Job Description
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) will lead end-to-end operational performance across all Laurus entities, campuses, and delivery modes. This pivotal role carries executive accountability for:
Facilities and infrastructure management of each campus.
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS / OH&S)
The complete Student Experience, from enrolment through to alumni
Executive ownership of the Student Management System (SMS)
As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the COO will work closely with the CEO and other executives to translate strategy into reliable, scalable, and high-performing operational delivery across a complex, multi-campus environment.
Travel to Perth, Brisbane, NZ and overseas campuses is essential for this role.
The Successful Applicant
We are seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented leader with:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Education Management or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications highly desirable.
Experience: Extensive senior operational leadership experience in a complex, multi-site organisation, ideally within a regulated Education environment, or a Hospitality and Hotels background - focus on customer experience.
Proven expertise in facilities management, student services, WHS compliance, and operational systems.
Strong people leadership skills with experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
High integrity, regulator credibility, and a calm, disciplined approach to operational excellence.
Digital fluency and a track record of driving process improvement and scalability.
