Darwin Health Centre Darwin Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Darwin, 6.5km north‑east of the city sharing a runway with Darwin International Airport. Major exercises are held in the NT every year, with RAAF Base Darwin undertaking a major support role. The health centre has a routine dependency of approximately 520 members and surges up to an additional 1500 Australian and International Defence members twice a year for the Air Force exercises. The facility provides aviation medical, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30-16:00 Monday to Thursday, and half day 7:30 – 13:30 Friday.

What You’ll Do

Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members

Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health

Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount

What You Bring

Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner

FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration

Minimum 2 years’ GP experience in the last 5 years in a primary care setting

Basic military aviation medicine course or equivalent - Sponsorship to complete course

Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)

Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)

Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
